Wash your skin several times a day, and dry it thoroughly afterwards. Constant moisture promotes the growth of fungi and bacteria, and therefore it is important for the skin to be both clean and dry. If there is inflammation and itching, you can also apply an ice pack several times a day. This will reduce the inflammation and will also soothe the itch much more effectively and safely than scratching will. Oatmeal soaked in milk for a few hours is sometimes used to get rid of rashes, but you need to be careful with this, as it can irritate the rash further – if, for instance, you have a milk allergy.
